Hello from Hope Shores!

We hope this email finds you safe and healthy! As summer approaches each year, we become more excited about camp with each passing day — and this year is no different! Maybe like us, you find yourself daydreaming about the tube grab during Game Time, hearing the morning cowbell, watching funny skits, eating a delicious Ooey Gooey Bar, worshiping during Vespers, digging your feet into the sand on the volleyball court, or falling off the torpedo into the water. Hope Shores really is “almost heaven!”

We are prayerful and hopeful about spending time on the shores of Rice Lake this summer! But with the COVID-19 situation changing rapidly, decisions are hard to make. There is much discussion going on among other camp directors, our Camp Ministry Team, and Hope Church leadership. We will continue to monitor the situation daily and make decisions accordingly. It’s hard to know at this point, but we’re hopeful that we’ll be able to welcome kids and families at Hope Shores for camp this summer while still keeping everyone healthy! In the meantime, we will be evaluating our health and safety practices and implementing any new measures we find necessary. Please know that as soon as we know more, we will be quick to share it with you!

We are leaning on God, our refuge during this great time of uncertainty. We have been praying for our world, our country, our health care workers, all of our campers and their families — and we would ask that you pray for us as well as we discern our steps forward.

Thank you for your continued support for Hope Shores and excitement about camp. We so appreciate our strong camp community! Let’s all unite together in prayer that this summer, country roads would take us back to the place where we belong… Hope Shores Bible Camp!
