Updates to Summer 2021 Schedule & Registration
Hello Friends of Hope Shores!
We are excitedly planning for camp this summer, and we can’t wait to see all our campers on the shores of Rice Lake! Throughout this season, we have continued to meet and consult with our Camp Ministry Team to make preparations for the upcoming summer. We have been working to align our programming with the guidance provided by MDH, CDC, and ACA for overnight camps. As we considered what our capacity for each youth camp would be like, we found that we would not be able to host as many youth campers as we wanted. Our desire is to welcome as many youth campers as possible to camp this summer. With our Camp Ministry Team, and through much prayer, discernment, and consultation, we have decided to modify our summer schedule as follows in order to maximize the number of youth campers we can host this summer:

Camp Clean-Up | June 5
Staff Training | June 13–19
2nd — 5th | June 20–25
2nd — 5th | June 27 — July 2
Mid-Summer Training | July 8–11
6th — 8th | July 11–16
6th — 8th | July 18–23
9th — 12th | July 25–30
9th — 12th | August 1–6
This updated schedule will allow us to welcome many more 2nd-12th grade campers to Hope Shores this summer than with our previous schedule. Camp is needed now more than ever, and we look forward to providing a great week of camp to all of our campers this summer!
Registration will now open on March 15th at 9 am (pushed back from March 1st) to provide campers and their families more time to plan with the new schedule. We anticipate that weeks will fill quickly, so be sure to register early!
With this schedule change and due to COVID precautions, we, unfortunately, will not be offering Family Camps this summer. We acknowledge that this is disappointing news, and the decision was difficult to make. We know how special it is for families to be at camp together, and so our goal and plan is to still provide a camp experience for families in the fall of this year. Stay tuned for more information to come! We plan to resume our normal summer family camps in the summer of 2022.
